SwemSchool is dedicated to promoting swimming and water safety for everyone, from infants to adults. Founded by CEO Trish P. Miller after her own near-drowning experience as a teenager, our mission is to help every swimmer experience the freedom of swimming.

Swim Instructor

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching individuals of all ages how to swim in a safe and efficient manner. As a Swim Instructor, you will work with students ranging from infants to adults and will also communicate with parents to ensure progress and safety. We are seeking an experienced instructor who can take the lead and help make our team one of the most successful in the industry.

Qualifications:

● Patient, outgoing, and professional demeanor

● 1-2 years of experience in swimming instruction, lifeguarding, and/or competitive swimming

Lifeguard

Aquatics Supervisor

Location:

Position Summary:
The Aquatics Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the Aquatics Manager with day-to-day operations, staff coordination, and instructional quality. This individual will be the go-to leader on the pool deck, ensuring smooth operations, supporting instructors, and stepping in to teach when needed. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about both aquatics and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support:
● Assist in managing daily operations across SwemSchool pool locations.
● Support the scheduling of instructors and substitute coverage.
● Oversee on-time class starts and student transitions.
● Ensure inventory is documented and supply needs are communicated.

Staff Leadership:
● Supervise and support instructors during swim shifts.
● Monitor team clock-in/out procedures and reinforce schedule compliance.
● Provide in-the-moment feedback and report coaching needs to the Aquatics Manager.
● Participate in in-service training and lead on-deck meetings as needed.

Instructional Quality:
● Maintain 2-3 instructional shifts per week to stay connected with curriculum delivery.
● Substitute for instructors when needed.
● Assist with implementing and managing student skills assessments.
● Ensure consistency in curriculum delivery across instructors.

Customer Experience:
● Act as Manager on Deck during assigned shifts to handle escalated customer concerns.
● Serve as a cheerful and professional presence for families and students.
● Support a positive, safe, and welcoming environment on the pool deck.

Qualifications:
● 2–3 years of experience as a swim instructor, required
● Experience supervising or supporting teams in an aquatics setting, preferred
● CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
● Strong organizational and communication skills
● Ability to manage a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
● Evening and weekend availability required

Customer Experience Coordinator

Company Overview:
The SwemSchool is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Experience Coordinator. The SwemSchool provides the life-saving skill of swimming to youth and adults in metro Atlanta and rural communities in Georgia.

Position Summary:
As a Customer Experience Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all our clients and visitors. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. While the primary focus will be on enhancing the overall customer experience, some front desk duties will also be part of your responsibilities. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of individuals both internally and externally. Additionally, discretion and professionalism are essential when handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities:
● Greet and assist visitors, clients, and employees with a professional and welcoming demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression of the organization.
● Manage all incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, promptly directing them to the appropriate individual.
● Prepare, review, and edit documents, presentations, and reports as requested, maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
● Oversee the office supplies inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels, and maintaining the organization and presentation of the office space.
● Assist in the planning and execution of special projects and events as directed by the admin team, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
● Perform general administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the office, including but not limited to filing, data entry, and organizing documents.
● Implement strategies to optimize front desk efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Someone who is confident and knowledgeable in employee and customer relations, who is organized and capable of hiring, training, and maintaining a team of staff members. Job Responsibilities:
● Plans and directs an expanding and flexible program of aquatics for all groups and ages; and assists in coordinating regularly scheduled events
● Recommends the purchase of proper supplies and equipment for program operation; maintains inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies
● Inspects equipment and facilities for security and safety
● Interviews, selects, and schedules employees for planned events and activities
● Provides training, guidance, and direction to employees and plans and implements recognition
● Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems
● Prepares and/or directs the preparation of special reports, such as activity analyses, brochures, etc.
● Supervises the daily activities of the facilities
● Required to operate pool equipment; tests chemicals for water quality; assures all water safety methods are strictly adhered to
● Deals with customer complaints concerning the employees or facility
● May be required to complete incident/accident reports
● Completes and maintains staff schedules

Requirements:
● 4-5 years of employee management experience
● CPR/First Aid Certified, preferred
● Must have 8-10 years of experience in an aquatics-related field
● Passionate about swimming
● Customer service oriented
● Must be organized, professional, and a team player
● This position requires evening and weekend work as well as regional travel to pool locations
